Chapter Three: Whether Words are Possessed of any Healing Efficacy
Not only have we been viewing physical objects as remedies, but also words (whether it be of wisdom, prayer or incantations.) It has been known amongst our ancestors how prayer was a common form of bringing out their demands. Yet, even now, with the rise of Christianity, prayer is a common thing in the Roman empire. Chruches are sprouting from the ground to bring about spiritual healing. Furthermore the scholars use wisdom to help us free our mind from the lifestyles we live. Also, the music is used to boost our spirits and enhance our moods. In gatherings, music is very common and compliments the wine. The children are now steadfast with their learning, and grow to be very smart. And many are finding faith within their hearts.
The modern world owes and dedicates most of their medicine to the Roman empire. Such forms of prayer are used for spiritual healing, wisdom to invoke the imagination and music to improve our emotions. All things which are considered an ailment for mental health. The Roman empire was much of a stepping stone to where mental health has developed towards. Words do hold their value and weight when it comes to mental healing. This form of thinking from pliny and others of the Roman empire led to two seperate occasions of health: mind and body. However, not everybody prays nowadays. Nor do people always listen to music or engage in knowledge due to technological advancements or availabilty. The forefathers laid down the foundations of mental health without knowledge of it ever existing. They had only known of the symptoms of tragedy from the greeks and sorrow from the reigns of the gods.
